Boat Mechanic

Responsibilities:

Inspecting and diagnosing issues with boat engines, systems, and structures.
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and tune-ups.
Repairing or replacing faulty engine parts including pistons, gears, valves, and bearings.
Testing and repairing electrical systems such as lighting, controls, and ignition systems.
Conducting performance tests for engines and other major components, using equipment such as compression gauges, and ammeters.
Disassembling and reassembling engines and other systems for repair or maintenance.
Maintaining records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations when repairing or maintaining boats.
Inspect, maintain, and repair various types of boats.
Troubleshoot and repair boat engines, electrical systems, and steering systems.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to avoid potential problems.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks.
Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Keep logs of work and report on issues.
